Nuclear Engineering - MS 5
[Master ]

What does it mean?

This program prepares graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the safe and economical operation of nuclear power plants, control of nuclear facilities, and the design of new nuclear systems, with mastery of modern means of modeling and simulation and a solid knowledge of nuclear legislation. Familiarization with the calculation codes widely used in all nuclear activities offers the possibility of rapid integration into the highly skilled jobs offered by the Romanian economy, but also the European economy.

What will you learn about?

  • Reactor physics and engineering as well as the use of computer codes in the field;
  • Nuclear materials for advanced nuclear reactors;
  • Numerical methods;
  • Nuclear safety and the influence of the human factor;
  • Modeling / simulation of dynamic regimes of NPP equipment and systems;
  • Advanced NPP systems;
  • The impact of nuclear radiation on the environment;
  • Radiation protection;
  • Thermo-hydraulics of nuclear reactors;
  • Probabilistic safety analysis;
  • Nuclear regulations and legislation;
  • Deterministic safety analysis;
  • Fast nuclear reactors.

What will you become?
