Message

Energy has been, is and will be along with water and air, one of the vital vectors for society and economic development. National and European energy policies, in the context of sustainable development, call for an increasing demand for energy engineers. One of the areas to which the future’s jobs will be related is energy-environment.

Founded in 1950, the Faculty of Energy Engineering is one of the elite schools of Romanian higher education, the first academic institution of energy education in the country, recognized nationally and internationally for professionalism, high quality academic and scientific standards.

With an exceptional academics, a modern teaching and research infrastructure and a wide educational offer, the faculty has constantly adapted and transformed, becoming a center of education, research and innovation in energy and environment, which plays a key role in addressing current and future challenges in a global strategic field.

The vision of the Faculty of Energy Engineering is to support and promote an educational and research system of excellence, open to the Romanian and international higher education space.

The research focuses and capitalizes on the special expertise of the faculty through a wide portfolio of research in a topical area - Efficient, ecological, and intelligent energy systems.

The achievements of the research are the basis of the education we provide to our students. Our mission is to train tomorrow's specialists and leaders in various technical fields specific to the energy industry, with valuable scientific, technical, and cultural-humanistic knowledge to contribute to the technological, economic and socio-cultural progress of Romanian society and the contemporary world.

We currently offer undergraduate studies in the field of energy engineering, being the only faculty in the country that trains graduates in all seven specializations in this field. They are complemented by 11 master's programs in the fields of energy engineering, environmental engineering and applied sciences, as well as doctoral studies in the field of energy engineering.

In the education of our students, we give special importance to software skills, both in the study programs offered and in educational offerings developed together with prestigious companies or by implementing various educational projects. We offer our students the opportunity to develop their knowledge in the field of digital technologies, leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship, in a learning environment that encourages social, global responsibilities and sustainable development.

Throughout the academic year we organize tutoring and support programs for students, especially for first year students, a lot of counseling and career guidance events, student competitions, study trips and camps and summer schools.

Through the partnerships of the faculty with important companies in the energy field, students have the opportunity to gain practical, real-life experiences while studying. They can do internships, develop diploma projects, dissertations or doctoral theses in collaboration with them or other companies. Thus, it is ensured easier integration of our graduates into the labor market.

We encourage our students to gain international experience in double degree programs, study or internships abroad, at partner universities and companies, through the Erasmus plus program, Athens (Advanced Technology Higher Education Network) or EELISA (European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance).

All students of the Faculty of Energy Engineering benefit from accommodation provided in the Regie Complex, in dormitories that have been completely rehabilitated in recent years, and which ensure optimal conditions.
