Quality assurance

Quality is mainly the result of the interaction between teachers, students and the institutional learning environment. Therefore, quality assurance is based on the development of a quality culture assumed by all those involved, which implies the development of clear internal procedures, relevant for the evaluation of academic and research activity, which should be applied consistently.

Excellence in education and research cannot be achieved without proper quality management based on a culture of quality.

Quality assurance, as a key commitment of the Bologna process, is essential for the development of mutual trust, increased mobility and the recognition of qualifications, diplomas and periods of study in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

In the context of the start of competition in the education market, universities need to conceptually adapt their quality management system so that they can meet the requirements. Based on this consideration, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest has implemented and developed a Quality Management System aimed at increasing performance. The Quality Council at the university level, the Quality Commissions at the faculty level and the Working Groups at the department level have the mission to ensure the observance of the performance standards towards which the university tends.

The Faculty of Energy Engineering has as a major objective to strengthen its position in the top of the profile faculties in Romania and in the international academic community, through the quality of the study programs offered and the research activity, seriousness, efficiency and performance, loyalty to students and responsibility towards society, contributing to the fulfillment of the requirements imposed by the achievement of the strategic objectives assumed at the university level.
