Hydroinformatics and water engineering - MS 13
[Master ]

What does it mean?

The energy engineering industry needs specialists with interdisciplinary training, to carry out research, consulting, design or technical assistance activities, in order to implement innovative solutions and technologies. Within the MS13 master program you will gain knowledge in monitoring, control and optimisation of systems that are producing/using hydraulic energy and related renewable energies (wind/marine energy), as well as in modelling and simulating processes within equipment and systems from fluid engineering. Thus, as graduate of the MS13 master program, you will be able to competitively work in research or energy industry, nationally and worldwide.

What will you learn about?

  • Integrated management;
  • Optimization, safety and risk in the use of water resources;
  • Artificial intelligence techniques in Water engineering;
  • Process automation;
  • SCADA systems;
  • Big Data and GIS in Energy engineering;
  • Numerical simulations in Fluid engineering - CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics);
  • Numerical modelling of water and wastewater treatment processes, of transient regimes in hydraulic machinery and installations, of free surface flows, and of fluid power systems;
  • Hydraulic machinery testing;
  • Equipment maintenance;
  • 3D prototype printing technologies.

What will you become?

  • Management and control of energy utilities systems engineer
  • Water resources management engineer
  • Programming and optimization of energy installations and processes engineer
  • Project manager
  • Power plant dispatcher, territorial dispatchers
  • Engineer of informatic technologies in power and energy systems

... and the list expands.

Who will hire you?

Enel; Engie; E.ON; GE; Hidroelectrica; Honeywell; Deloitte, KSB, Grundfos; Romelectro; Monsson; Renault Technologie; Veolia; Aquaproiect; Vinci Energies; Voith Turbo; CEZ; Camusat; TIAB; KMG International; Regional and national water companies / administrations

... and the list continues.
