Integration of renewable solar energy sources into district heating systems – SOLARHEAT

The main objective of the project is to analyze and propose different solutions for the integration of photovoltaic thermal and solar thermal panels into district heating system. This main objective has the goals to increase the use of renewable energy sources in district heating systems, to increase energy efficiency, thus, increasing economic efficiency, and, finally, to contribute to reduction of greenhouse gases emissions. Implementation of solutions based on solar energy into thermal substations for heat generation can also lead to increasing the district heating service quality and safety in supply and improving the quality of life of end-users.
