Carbon dioxide methanizer design for sustainable low carbon energy systems development - CO2toCH4

The project aims to design a carbon dioxide methanizer for low carbon energy systems sustainable development. The experimental model shall be validated through particular testing and validation procedures. Furthermore, innovative integration perspectives will be investigated in order to ensure depolluting of traditional fuel fed plants. Thus, the current proposal falls within the scope of Eco-nano-technologies and advanced materials domain, Decontaminating technologies subdomain. Enabling the power sector transition towards reduced emissions generation is a highly complex matter. In a greater environmentally restricted and increasingly uncertain power generation context, the project addresses the design and validation of methanation tank possibly coupled to a diesel generator, considering a further innovative and integrative approach within hybrid energy systems. Moreover, the project aims an innovative approach in the field of decarbonization technologies, both nationally and worldwide, further research and demonstration being required. The scope of the project follows a multi-perspective sustainable development pathway, its outcomes contributing to improve the actual energy framework.
