Laboratory Optimizations and Electricity Market

The Laboratory of Optimizations and Electricity Market was created in 1988, and it has been modernized over the years by the contribution of the laboratory’s academic staff members, based on research contracts and based on a generous sponsorship provided by Crystal System in 2019.

Soon after its commissioning, the OPEE laboratory began to be used in the process of educating/training students (bachelor and master level), in order to acquire professional skills related to the application of optimization methods in solving current problems of the national power system under the functioning of the free energy market.

From a methodological point of view, the following objectives were met: direct and individual work of students with a computer system, using specialized software applications dedicated to the training process; introduction in the process of training students of computer-assisted training and self-training methods.

The laboratory has up to date multimedia and computing equipment.
