Laboratory Fluid Power

This laboratory is composed of two different sections (twin rooms: ELa 015a and ELa 015b), that are employed for the whole range of static and dynamic performance tests of the modern drive, command and control components and systems from the current industrial domains.

The Laboratory of Testing Proportional Hydraulic Equipment, located in Room ELa 015a, is devoted to the experimental identification, in metrological conditions, of the static and dynamic characteristics of all kinds of electrohydraulic amplifiers, used in all sorts of high-pressure drive and control systems (350 bar). The RENAR Association, recognized as unique national accreditation body by Government Ordinance 23/2009, based on the provisions of (CE) Regulation no. 765, awarded to this laboratory the Accreditation Certificate no. LI 821 in 2009. The laboratory implemented the Quality Management System ISO 9001/2008b, and performs both didactic activities, and industrial testing demands.

The Laboratory of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Drives, located in Room ELa 015b, is devised for testing drive, command, and control components and systems specific to industrial applications from energy engineering, mechanical engineering and mechatronics, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, automotive engineering, aerospace systems, robotics etc.

The laboratory includes modern systems for acquiring experimental data supplied by National Instruments Corporation, which allow performing real time simulations of complex electrohydraulic systems included in the speed governors of hydropower units, wind turbines, steam turbines, automotive engineering, and flight control systems. This laboratory is associated with laboratories of same profile of the SIEMENS Corporation.
