Laboratory Digital Interactive Training Platform IT-FPS

The laboratory that hosts the Digital Interactive Training Platform IT-FPS, the only of this type in Romania, is the legal headquarter of the Digital Platform IT-FPS, set up in the frame of a doctoral school project in Romania in the field of analysis, synthesis and design of the fluid power systems. This high-level entity is supported by well-known companies operating in the field of industrial design software: MathWorks, SIEMENS Industrial Software, National Instruments, Autodesk, Parametric Technology, ANSYS, FESTO, Parker Hannifin, Renault and Danfoss. The three servers of the platform (software, databases, and communication) allow the simultaneous authorized operation of 24 access terminals.

Students from Faculty of Energy Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Faculty of Transport, Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages, etc., have the opportunity to train, individually or in different teams, using professional software on the design and operation of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems. Advanced research activities are performed by master and PhD students in the field of modeling, simulation, and design on fluid dynamics, hydraulic and pneumatic machines operation, structural computation, machines dynamic and maintenance, control systems, identification of the dynamic systems, data acquisition systems and real time systems, rapid prototyping etc. These are possible by the use of the most advanced professional software.
