Mihaela Amalia Diminescu is lecturer at Faculty of Energy Engineering, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest since 2007. She graduated from Faculty of Energy Engineering, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, specialization Environmental Engineering in Energy in 2000. In 2001 she obtained MSc diploma from the same university, specialization The impact of the production and use of electricity on the environment and society and in 2014 from the Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, specialization Analytical Control of Environmental Quality and Depollution Techniques. In 2012 she was awarded a PhD in Energy Engineering from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.

Starting with 2001 she has carried out teaching and scientific research in the Department of Hydraulics, Hydraulic Machinery and Environmental Engineering from the Faculty of Energy Engineering of the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. In the more than 20 years of her career, she has coordinated 80 students in the elaboration of diploma and dissertation projects and has guided 125 student scientific papers. Areas of interest include Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry, River and Groundwater Pollution, Groundwater Hydrodynamics, Water Dynamics in Saturated and Unsaturated Porous Environments, Impact of Energy on Groundwater Quality, Climate Change, Environmental Management, Water and Soil Quality, and Hydropower Engineering. She has published over 30 papers in national and international conference proceedings and journals, and she is co-author of 4 books and 6 online courses. She was project manager for one research grant and participated as member of the research teams in several research projects in the energy field.
