Biography
Andreea-Georgiana IANȚOC graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2016 in Power Systems Engineering, a master's degree in 2018 in Electrical Power Engineering, and obtained her PhD in Power Engineering in 2023 at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. The PhD thesis, entitled "Voltage Stability and Control in Active Distribution Power Systems", reflects her interest and expertise in this field. During her studies, she participated as a research assistant in an Erasmus mobility programme at Fraunhofer-Institut – IWES, Kassel (Germany). Since 2023, she has been lecturer in the Department of Electrical Power Systems at the Faculty of Energy Engineering. Her main research areas are related to the field of power systems in terms of design, operation and expansion of distribution and transmission power grids, considering the impact of distributed generation. Throughout her academic and research career, she has actively participated in four international projects, contributing to the implementation of strategies for the operation of power systems that facilitates the transition to climate neutrality of electricity grids through the integration of renewable energy sources and advanced energy storage technologies. She has also worked in the National Dispatch Centre between 2016-2018, where she gained knowledge about the operational aspects of power grid control, protection and automation systems management.
